The New Screen Fest is a student-orientated film festival on it’s 3rd Annual run that supports the voices and talent of emerging student filmmakers in the Eugene Lang School of Liberal Arts and The New School Community. The festival is student-run through the guidance of Nathan Fitch, a professor at The New School, and the students of ‘Lang Film Festival’ class, in which he teaches.

The festival is designed for student filmmakers, by student filmmakers, highlighting the often overlooked tenacity and drive of these emerging talents. It strives to showcase their creativity and dedication, celebrating the unique perspectives and innovative ideas that only student filmmakers can bring to the screen. This event serves as a crucial platform for these young visionaries, providing them with the opportunity to display their work — some for the first time — connect with like-minded peers, and gain valuable exposure in the film industry.
